As a Woodlands Lifestyle Photographer, I want your family photos to truly embody who your family is at this moment in time. The Tansey family’s home is full of life: books, art, musical instruments, and even a rescued bird. They’re creative and quirky, yet grounded and kind. We wanted their session to reflect that. To be something genuine, creative, and fun.
The Session
We met early one morning at The Woodlands Waterway, found an empty parking garage, and made it our playground. The kids brought their skateboards, everyone wore fun, colorful outfits, and they spent the morning skating, laughing, and simply being together. It was the perfect mix of creativity and authenticity, a reflection of who they are as a family.
Plus, how many times will you get to wake up at sunrise and skate around an empty parking garage? When planning on-location sessions like this, I always try to create something that can be a fun memory for the families I photograph. Because when your photos are attached to a great memory, you’ll feel that joy every time you look at them.
