Remember that time when I said you don’t have to hike for miles or even drive halfway across Texas to find your wedding spot? This Austin wedding venue is one of those places. Located in Austin’s Eastside; Sekrit Theater is a wedding venue that hosts a beautiful antique greenhouse, retro school bus, and other unique features. Perfect for intimate weddings or two-person elopements, Sekrit Theater was the ideal setting for this couple’s vintage-styled fall wedding.
Sekrit Theater is a great venue that is perfectly outfitted for both elopements or intimate weddings! You can have your intimate ceremony in their stunning vintage greenhouse followed by a party with all of your favorite people. Or you can choose to elope just the two of you and have the whole place to yourselves.
It is so close to Austin that you can have an urban elopement with a twist. Spend half the day exploring the city followed by a reception with just the two of you or an intimate party at this outdoor wedding venue. Or it could be a really fun elopement location for your ceremony and then explore downtown Austin afterwards.
Kelsey and Mark’s Sekrit Theater Austin wedding was classy as heck and simply magical. They were able to relax and enjoy some downtime together while spending quality time with all of their friends and family. It was a refreshing day that never felt rushed or stressful.
The goal of the day for these two was simply celebration, catching up, and sharing happy moments with friends and family. As this couple’s Austin wedding photographer, a moment special to me was capturing the ring bearer.
There’s a beautiful water fountain and I caught the ring bearer leaning over it with the rings before the ceremony. I could just envision the rings falling into the water! So, I asked to take his photo to keep the rings safe. It’s always such an honor to photograph my couples and it’s these little moments that stand out the most to me. They speak to the simple ways I love helping couples without them ever knowing it!
The day came to a close with a sparkler exit as the couple drove off in a vintage red car that belonged to Mark’s dad. As a reflection on how being married would feel, the bride shared, “Really, we don’t feel like much will change! We’ve been together for over six years and once we’re married we’re just gonna keep on doing the same thing!”
I know I say this a lot but everyone was super sweet and it was seriously an honor to be a small part in this day.
